men’s and women’s club captains announced

eli welsh and bee blackmon have been today announced as the men’s and women’s captains for the barracudas respectively

Ahead of the men’s game and women’s combine on December 10th, the Barracudas are delighted to announce their club captains for the event and the 2023 season.

On the women’s side, experienced USA international squad member Bee Blackmon has been chosen to lead the Cudas, bringing a proven desire to lead and grow the women’s game in San Diego. As a club member since the launch of the Cudas, Bee will wear the badge with pride. As PCRL continues to build towards the first ever women’s west coast conference for 2023, Bee is sure to be one to watch.

The men’s captain who will lead out the Barracudas on December 10th against the Mongrel is Eli Welsh. An experienced rugby player and a founding member of the Cudas, Eli’s commitment and passion are a shining example to everyone in the squad. He will be looking to start the PCRL era with a bang, and bring the Cooney-Calverley Cup back south to San Diego where it belongs.
