Head Coach Ben C Calverley has over 25 years of playing and coaching experience in rugby league, having started playing the game aged 6 in Huddersfield, the birthplace of rugby league. He went on to captain Oxford University, and won man-of-the-match in their Varsity win over Cambridge.

Whilst studying for his PhD at the University of Manchester, Ben gained his level 2 coaching qualification in rugby league, and helped to found and coach the women’s team there.

Alongside his role with the Barracudas, Ben is also currently the Assistant Coach to the USA Hawks Women’s national team.
