women’s combine leads off full day of rugby in long beach
women lead the way in showcasing rugby league in high quality combine, before men’s union and league games.
The women of PCRL enjoyed a two hour rigorous session led by national coaches Ady Cooney and Ben C Calverley as the opening act of a four-event day of cross-code rugby at Cal. State University Long Beach. A strong Barracudas presence led by captain Bee Blackmon impressed the coaches with their intensity and willingness to learn, and the Cudas women will look to use the day as a springboard into 2023.

The women’s combine was followed by the first of the union games of the day, when the San Diego Legion and Belmont Shore u18s faced off. Then came the Barracudas men against the LA Mongrel, full match report here.
Rounding off the day was the Legion academy against Belmont Shore, with the sun setting over a brilliant day of rugby.
